MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday night.
It happened about 8:10 p.m. in the 1800 block of Wood Street, according to a news release Thursday.
Officers arriving at the scene found a 23-year-old Muskegon man, Cory Freeman, suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest.
Freeman was transported to Mercy ER by ambulance for treatment, where he later died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made regarding this shooting and the investigation continues.
