18-year-old suspects charged in Allendale armed robbery/carjacking

ALLENDALE, MICH. — Two 18-year-olds have been taken into custody and face multiple charges after an alleged armed robbery and carjacking in Allendale earlier this month.

On Thursday, Dec. 17., a felony warrant was issued for one suspect, Grand Rapids native Brandon McBride, on charges of Armed Robbery, Carjacking, Fleeing and Eluding, and Felony Firearms.

One day later, a second suspect, Tyane Jamar Barnes of Grandville, was located by detectives and taken into custody without incident.

Charges authorized against Barnes include Armed Robbery, Carjacking, Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of a Stolen Credit Card, and Felony Firearms.

McBride and Barnes remain lodged at the Ottawa County Jail, both with bonds of $150,000.

This incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
