Deputies investigate suspicious camper fire in Polkton Township

POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies responded to a Polkton Township fire Wednesday morning that is believed to be suspicious in nature.

A camper caught fire before 7:45 a.m. in the 13000 block of 68th Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).

No injuries were reported. What caused the fire is not yet known.

We’re told Michigan State Police has been summoned to assist in the investigation.

Deputies credit the fire departments from Coopersville, Allendale and Wright Township for their assistance.
