PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A body has been recovered from the water at Holland State Park.

Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were called to the park just before 8 p.m. Thursday, after receiving reports of what appeared to be a body stuck in the rocks along the north pier.

Members of the sheriff's office's dive team found the body pinned beneath the surface of the water by several large boulders.

The dive team worked alongside members of the Park Township Fire Department over the course of a few hours, moving the large rocks out of the way to eventually recover the body.

The sheriff's office said it would release more information once an autopsy has been performed.
