GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — The Grand Haven City Council officially approved a resolution to allow recreational marijuana sales.
The vote came down to 3-2 in approval for the resolution Monday night.
They also approved a resolution involving zoning rules meant to keep the shops away from schools, libraries, parks, places of worship, day cares and substance abuse programs.
Applicants will apply for locations through a lottery if they wish to open a shop.
