HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Grand Rapids man was airlifted following a crash on I-196 in Holland Township Tuesday morning.
The crash happened in a westbound lane near Adams Street before 10 a.m., according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
We’re told a work van left the road and hit a tree, pinning the 32-year-old driver inside.
Deputies say Holland Township firefighters removed the man from the car. AeroMed flew the man to Butterworth Hospital for undisclosed injuries.
The freeway was briefly closed to make space for AeroMed, according to OCSO.
The crash is currently under investigation.
