HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman was hurt and a Holland Township intersection was closed after a crash Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened at Chicago Drive and Waverly Road, according to the Holland Department of Public Safety (HDPS).
We're told a semitruck drove east on Chicago Drive when witnesses say it proceeded into the intersection while the light was green. A 72-year-old woman from Zeeland in a westbound 2003 Toyota turned left into the semi's path.
HDPS says the woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, adding she was issued a citation for failing to yield.
The semi driver was unharmed.
The crash resulted in the intersection's closure, according to dispatchers.
