HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An Ottawa County massage therapist has been arrested and charged in connection to sexually assaulting a client, according to a news release Friday.
A 46-year-old Holland Township woman contacted police to report that a massage therapist had assaulted her in a sexual manner during her appointment Feb. 15 at Ideal Bodyworks Massage Therapy on 16th Street.
The massage therapist, 47-year-old Matthew Edward Owens of Park Township, was arrested Wednesday evening and lodged at the Ottawa County Jail on felony charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Owens was arraigned Thursday in the 58th District Court of Holland.
A $25,000 bond was imposed.
