PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A school bus was involved in a Park Township crash Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Riley Street and 146th Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO).
We're told a minivan driven by a 44-year-old Holland woman headed east when the driver lost control due to snowy conditions.
Deputies say the van slid into the westbound lane and hit a West Ottawa Public Schools bus head-on.
The bus had around 30 students on board, according to OCSO. None of them were hurt, but the minivan driver was hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities tell us there was a 15-year-old passenger in the minivan who was unharmed in the incident.
The Park Township Fire Department (PTFD) tells us two other vehicles slid off while trying to avoid the bus crash.
