Police safely locate 68-year-old David Schutter

GRAND HAVEN — UPDATE: As of 4:30 a.m. deputies have located David Schutter.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's office is searching for an elderly missing and endangered person last seen after midnight Tuesday.

David Schutter, 68, of Grand Haven was last seen early Tuesday morning in the Grand Haven area. The sheriff's office says Schutter was supposed to his home at River Haven Community of Grand Haven Township but never arrived.

The sheriff's office says Schutter suffers from dementia and a medical condition that requires constant monitoring and medication.

Schutter is 6'1" 270, with white hair and was last seen wearing, blue jeans, a jean jacket and a hat.

He is believed to be driving a green 2007 Saturn Ion with a Michigan License plate of "2428L4".

Schutter has no form of identification on him, no wallet and no cell phone, according to the sheriff's office.
