PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — With the high school Class of 2020 unable to experience an in-person graduation ceremony, the West Ottawa Public Schools plan to offer a tribute for all to see.
The football field lights at West Ottawa High School will shine for 20 minutes and 20 seconds on Friday, April 24, at 8:20 p.m.
Principal Jason Reinecke described it in a release as a way to “let them know that we are proud of them, and this is but a small token of our appreciation to their hard work over the past four years.”
The public is invited to capture the moment while, of course, observing social distance.
The stadium is located on West Ottawa Public Schools Drive just west of the intersection of Riley Street and 136th Avenue.
