GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — People who attended the Great Lakes Infectious Disease Conference at Ferris State University's Grand Rapids campus may have been exposed to COVID-19.
Ferris State says a Kent County resident who attended the March 7 conference has since tested positive for the disease.
The school sent emails to everyone who attended the conference recommending they self-isolate or self-monitor through March 21.
It is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 on any of Ferris State’s campuses. The school says it is working closely will health officials as it responds to the case.
