GREEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 28-year-old woman from Illinois was injured during a three-car crash Tuesday morning in Mecosta County.
It happened just before 11 a.m. on US 131 near MM 144 in Green Township, the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office said.
An investigation revealed that a 24-year-old man from Mount Pleasant lost control of his car and spun out on the highway.
The vehicle behind that vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old Illinois man and was slowing to avoid the car in front of him as it was rear-ended by a box truck driven by a 27-year-old Grand Rapids man.
The Illinois woman was transported to Spectrum Big Rapids Hospital for injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
