FAIRPLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three people were taken to the hospital Monday night after the vehicle they were in crashed into a tree.
The crash happened around 9:35 p.m. on Station Road west of Holland Road in Fairplain Township.
Authorities say a pickup truck was going east on Station Road when the unlicensed driver lost control due to icy conditions, sending the truck off the road and into a tree.
The driver and two passengers had to be freed from the vehicle.
A 39-year-old woman was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital, and the other two people in the vehicle were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
