FALMOUTH, Mich. — A man who was reported missing in Mecosta County earlier this month has been found dead, Michigan State Police said Thursday.

Troopers were sent about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 24 to South Jeffs Road near Cadillac Road in Butterfield Township for a report of a dead man in a gray suburban.
MSP determined the vehicle belonged to endangered missing person Richard Wymer and further investigation led to identifying him as the dead man in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
The cause and manner of death haven’t been released by police because the case is still under investigation.
Wymer had been missing since Feb. 7.
