REED CITY, Mich. — A Reed City man was arraigned Monday for driving on a suspended license and for assaulting a police officer, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say they responded to a crash on Maddison Road west of Big Rapids on Saturday, Feb. 20 when the driver and passenger took off into a wooded area.
D/Sgt. Casey Nemeth says officers caught 46-year-old Timothy James Cousins, the driver, and arrested him, adding that he was on parole for bank robbery.
We’re told Cousins is being held on a $40,000 surety bond and is awaiting preliminary examination.
