CLYDE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A puppy from a Michigan animal shelter is one of more than 90 animals heading to the Puppy Bowl to compete for the “Lombarky” Trophy.

Logan, a puppy brought to Blue Water Humane Society near Port Huron, has been selected to the final roster and will be a part of the competition made up of shelter dogs across the country. The Puppy Bowl has been played for the last 16 years, lining up Team Ruff vs. Team Fluff to win the Lombarky Trophy.

Logan is one of six brothers taken from a puppy mill by animal control and brought to the shelter. When he and his siblings arrived, they had Sarcoptic mange and had to go through treatments for skin infections.

In a couple months, all of them responded well and Logan eventually found a forever home with his brother.

Puppy Bowl XVI will air at 3 p.m. on Animal Planet.
