LANSING, Mich. — The State of Michigan has launched a statewide hotline to answer health-related questions about the coronavirus.
The hotline will start operating at 9 a.m. Saturday. The number to call is 1-888-535-6136.
Public health and other experts will take calls from residents and answer questions regarding health. People can also be directed to local resources and services available through state government departments.
The hotline will be run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
Staff will not provide individual clinical advice or a diagnosis through the hotline. Anyone who believes they have been exposed to COVID-19 and have been exposed should call their local health provider or a hospital.
Information regarding the outbreak is constantly being updated online through the state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
