MONTCALM TWP., Mich. — A 38-year-old Greenville man passed away today due to fatal injuries from a traffic crash in Montcalm Township.
This accident occurred just after 11 a.m. at Greenville Road near Peck Road in Montcalm Township.
38-year-old Edward Herroon was driving a moped and waiting to turn west in the Northbound lane of Greenville Road, when a minivan driven by an 81-year-old Stanton man crashed into the back of the moped.
Herroon was pronounced dead on scene.
The 81-year-old man was transported to Spectrum United Hospital in Greenville for minor injuries. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
