NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. — The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office investigated a "critical incident" Saturday morning in Ashland Township.
The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. Saturday on 136th Street and that roadway was closed to traffic between Ferris and Wisner.
The Newaygo County Emergency Response team responded to the scene.
Sheriff's officials asked people to avoid the area and said there was no immediate threat to the community.
The incident remains under investigation.
