FREMONT, Mich. — A Newaygo County shooting sent one person to the hospital Thursday evening.
Fremont Police say it happened around 7 p.m. along Main Street near Division Street in the downtown business district.
The police chief tells FOX 17 a man was shot in an apartment and taken to the hospital.
Police say officers took the shooter into custody, peacefully, a short time later.
The police department says this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
