CROTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office is looking for two thieves caught-in-the-act by a home owner.

The woman had only been gone a couple of hours when she returned home to find a man carrying jewelry, firearms, money and medication out of the house. The woman fired what police are calling "several rounds" at the suspect as he ran off.

The suspect is described on the Newaygo County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page as a white male, 5-foot-7, about 170 lbs, wearing a dark ski mask, a camoflauge coat, tennis shoes and jeans.

The man ran out the door and got into a maroon "Jeep-type" vehicle with another white male who had a thick, but trimmed black beard.
