GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Crowds gathered to take in the Gentex Santa Parade on the streets of Downtown Grand Rapids Saturday morning.
The parade kicked off on Monroe Avenue at Michigan and ended at Fulton.
Thousands braved the bitter cold wind and snowy conditions.
A number of bands, businesses, and community organizations took part in the fun.
Members of the FOX 17 team handed out candy to the kids filling the streets.
The parade concluded with the arrival of Santa and his reindeer. Santa met kids to take photos with kids at the Grand Rapids Art Museum after the parade.
There Morning also included performances by the Grand Rapids Symphony and the Academy of Dance Arts.
This is the first Santa parade since 2019. Covid canceled it in 2020 and 2021.
