FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The driver of a Chevrolet Colorado has been killed after running a stop sign in St. Joseph County near White Pigeon.

This happened at 6 p.m. yesterday on the intersection of Dickinson Road and Sevison Road, north of US-12.

Authorities say Clarence Gordon Bryant, a White Pigeon resident, was heading south on Sevison Road when he failed to stop at the intersection and hit a GMC Sierra headed east on Dickinson Road.

Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver and passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Speed is believed to be a factor; this crash is still under investigation by Michigan State Police.
