MOTTVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 34-year-old Constantine man was arrested early Sunday morning after police pursued him into a farm field.
Deputies tried to stop a vehicle just before 1 a.m. for a traffic violation on Burke Road near US 12 in Mottville Township, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle was speeding and disobeying stop signs in the area.
Deputies pursued the vehicle down to State Line Road, where it drove into a farm field.
Once the vehicle left the field, deputies continued chasing it and the vehicle drove into another field.
Eventually, the man stopped and surrendered himself.
He was lodged for multiple criminal offenses involving traffic violations, narcotics violations and weapons violations.
