ST. JOSEPH, Mich. — U.S. Rep. Fred Upton is requiring all staff members to work from home starting Thursday.

His offices in St. Joseph, Kalamazoo and Washington are all closed as the government continues to monitor the coronavirus outbreak.

Upton says constituent services and case work won’t be interrupted.

“As the coronavirus outbreak grows more serious, we need all hands on deck,” Upton said in a statement. “This situation should not be taken lightly. I understand folks are concerned and frustrated. We need to step up. We’re in this together.”

People who need to get in touch with Upton’s office can email staff members, request assistance through his website or leaving a message on an office phone.
