HARTFORD, Mich. — A man is in critical condition following a shooting that took place in Hartford early this evening.
Officers of the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department arrived on the scene of 62180 66th Avenue, where they say a 36-year-old woman shot a 34-year-old man in the stomach on the porch.
The man was laying on the porch with an abdomen wound when the police arrived.
The man was transported via helicopter to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Battle Creek.
Officers proceeded to detain the female and bring her into the station for questioning.
