GOBLES, Mich. — Three cars collided due to road conditions and visibility, sending 4 people to the hospital Friday.
The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office told FOX 17 a Jeep Commander heading south on M-40 towards Gobles and a Dodge Ram heading north collided. Then the driver of a Dodge Grand Caravan couldn't see the crash and ran into the pair of vehicles.
The backseat passenger of the Commander was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The driver and front-seat passenger in the Commander as well as the driver of the Dodge Ram were also taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown. The driver of the Grand Caravan only had minor injuries and did not want to be treated.
Police believe road conditions and visibility were factors in this crash.
"The roadway was described as hard-pack snow and visibility was limited by snow falling" said Sheriff Daniel Abbott in a statement.
The scene is still under investigation.
