HARTFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One man is under arrest after a pursuit that led Sheriff's Deputies across country roads and into a farm field.
The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office says a deputy tried to stop a vehicle in Hartford Township Sunday evening, but the driver sped down 56th Avenue trying to elude the deputy.
The chase lasted miles, and ended in a farm field when the driver turned onto the dirt. The 19-year-old from Bangor ran from the car and hid in nearby woods.
K9 Bruno responded to the scene and tracked the suspect for a mile and a half. Deputies arrested the man.
The suspect is being held on several felony charges, including Flee and Elude, and Resisting Police.
