Police uncover narcotics in Lawton Village residence

LAWTON VILLAGE, Mich. — Police investigated sales of narcotics in Lawton Village this afternoon.

Officers secured the suspect, who was sitting in his vehicle, before entering his residence, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office. They say he had a number of warrants for methamphetamine delivery.

We’re told detectives discovered large amounts of meth as well as paraphernalia when they searched the home. Police say a second subject was found at the home, but they do not believe he was involved in any criminal activity.

The suspect was reportedly taken to the Van Buren County Jail for two counts of meth delivery. Authorities say additional charges will be made for the narcotics discovered at the residence.
