PAW PAW, Mich. — An 84-year-old woman died Tuesday after she was hit by a vehicle while walking across the street in Paw Paw.
The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on S Gremps Street near the intersection of Michigan Avenue.
Police say an SUV was driving north on Gremps Street when it hit the woman. She was taken to an area hospital after the crash, where she died from her injuries.
Investigators say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating. At this point, there doesn’t appear to be any extenuating circumstances.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
