NILES, Mich. — A search warrant lead to the arrest of 47-year-old man after finding an unregistered firearm, cocaine and more evidence of drug trafficking according to the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET).
The arrest occurred today in Niles, with the team leading the arrest comprised of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Allegan Police Department, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Covert Township Police Department, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, South Haven Police Department, Saint Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, and Sturgis Police Department.
SWET is supported by Michigan High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) in addition to the U.S. Department of Justice, Byrne JAG grant.
