GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The FOX 17 Morning News team braved the cold for the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics.
The event takes place at LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park from Noon-6 p.m. Saturday.
Hundreds of people are expected to take the plunge.
Morning News anchors Tessa DiTirro, Michelle Dunaway, Ruta Ulcinaite, and Elliot Grandia all made the jump Saturday morning.

Every year, Special Olympics Michigan puts on several Polar Plunge fundraisers with the goal of raising money to fund Special Olympic programs.
This year, the organization is hosting more than 30 in person plunges around Michigan as well as a virtual plunge.
