SHEPHERD, Mich. — A woman was arraigned in court Thursday after MSP responded earlier in the week to a report of a mother who had a cord wrapped around her two-month-old baby’s neck.
Troopers from the Mount Pleasant post arrived about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday to the 10000 block of South Mission Road in Shepherd, according to a news release Friday.
Skyler Warner, 21, of Shepherd, was arraigned in the Isabella County District Court on three counts of child abuse in the second degree, domestic violence and one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, including strangulation.
MSP was assisted by the Central Michigan University Police Department, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, MMR Ambulance and Mid-Michigan Medical Center.
The investigation continues.
