KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Curling Club is seeing a lot of interest this winter as the Olympic Games kick off.

The club was founded in 2008, but always sees an uptick in curious individuals looking to try out the sport around the Olympics.

"Obviously people are watching it, they see it, they're mesmerized by it," founding member of the club Marcus Gleaton said. "We normally get 40, 50 new members out of it which is huge for us."

The club hosts national championships and has even welcomed Olympians to their Kalamazoo location.

They offer lessons, tournaments and memberships and are eager to welcome new members.
