KALAMAZOO, Mich — The Kalamazoo Health Department has launched a call center for Kalamazoo county residents to use for COVID-19 concerns.
The call center opens the same day as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services started a state-wide call center for the same purpose. Both Kalamazoo's call centers will be open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Kalamazoo County Government strives to keep everyone informed during these ever changing events. We want to assure you that we will be bringing facts forward as soon as they are verified. Right now we are progressing through everything to ensure we are using an abundance of caution to protect our employees and residents.” stated Tracie Moored, Kalamazoo County Administrator.
The county says 16 COVID-19 tests have been submitted to the state by the county, but no positive results have been confirmed.
Residents of Kalamazoo County can call either the county at 269-373-5267 or the state at 888-535-6136 for assistance.
