CNN — Law enforcement officials say the FBI has identified a suspect in the death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick following the Capitol breach, but the FBI is not naming the suspect.
Sicknick received high honors: his body lay in honor at the Capitol in an emotional ceremony early this month. President Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and congressional leaders paid visits.
The theory is that Sicknick became ill from bear spray used by the mob in the January 6th breach He later died at the hospital.
Video evidence appears to show the attack that could have caused his death. It remains a difficult case for investigators and it's unclear what charges may be filed.
