LUTZ, Fla. — A Florida dad found a way to bring some Disney magic to his neighborhood during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brian Morris created a "Chalk Walk." Each sidewalk square outside his home features a different Disney movie.

"I find a photo with my phone. I sit here with my phone, trace it out, map it out and go from there," Morris said.

Morris said he got the idea after drawing on the sidewalk with his two daughters.

"I wound up drawing a Koi fish on the driveway. It was a huge hit with a few neighbors and the wife said, 'why don't we continue this?' We had perfect squares in the driveway or the sidewalk," Morris said.

Morris is a construction manager during the day. He is also an artist. He shares his artwork on a Facebook page, "Studio M Art."

"On the side and in my spare time, I draw. I paint. I do whatever art things I can find. It helps me unwind at the end of the day. It keeps me busy and keeps my mind active," Morris said.

Morris said his neighbors look at the sidewalk creations while they're outside.

"People have asked me, oh you're painting them on. No, it's just regular chalk. It's amazing what you can do with water," he said.

He said everyone is safer at home and maybe it's time to relive childhood fun.

"It's almost a dying art out there with the younger generation so hopefully this will drive that spark back," Morris said. "I'm going to keep drawing them as long as everyone keeps liking them."
