HOLLAND, Mich. — A 'Problem Solvers' story we did last week has now turned into a problem solved.

Trish Kamer is a retired teacher for Zeeland Public Schools who recently had to file for unemployment for her event venue in Holland.

The system kept telling her she was disqualified because of her retirement.

She reached out to the UIA several times on MIWAM but never heard back.

She filed a protest and after talking with FOX 17 was able to get her PUA claim pushed through.

Just a couple days ago all of her money finally hit her account.

“When you took care of this for us and it finally went through, I literally checked my bank account, sat down on my bed and cried,” said Kamer, “like it's finally over after four months of daily… my husband saying to me 'did you hear anything yet, did you get through' and it's all over so we're just so thankful."

Trish says she can finally pay her building and construction loans and not be as stressed.
