MUSKEGON, Mich — Authorities have recovered the body of a missing 18-year-old swimmer in Muskegon
According to the Firefighters Union page, there had been calls about a swimmer missing in Lake Michigan Thursday night.
Rescue crews were dispatched to the shores of Pere Marquette Park around 10:45 p.m. after a report of a swimmer struggling while getting caught up in a rip current.
The US Coast Guard also assisted in the search.
Officials say the body of Taleah Lowe, 18, of of South Haven, was recovered around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
