PAW PAW, Mich. — Voters in Paw Paw waited an upwards of two hours to cast their ballots in this year's presidential election.

Some of those voters said they were voting for the first time.

There were many voters with just under 30 minutes left of the polls being open who were still coming out to cast their ballots.

The line wrapped around the building and down and around the block of the Paw Paw Township building.

One girl said she waited two and a half hours to cast her very first vote in a presidential election and knew to expect a long wait before she got there.

"I definitely think it's because of the two candidates because I've came to vote with my mom before, and it was maybe a 5 minute wait. I think just with Joe Biden and Donald Trump being the two candidates, it's really bringing everyone out," said first time presidential election voter Karlee Martin.

Others said despite the long wait time, they would stand out there in line just to make their voices heard in this presidential election.
