If there’s one thing the novel coronavirus pandemic has shown us, it’s that we are surrounded by everyday heroes in our own families and communities.

While doctors, nurses, grocery store employees and truck drivers are just a few of the heroes working the front lines of this pandemic, everyone has had to change their lives in some ways — with moms and dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, and even strangers all stepping up to help their communities in any way possible.

As a way to say thank you to some deserving everyday heroes, Chicco is giving away $1,000 worth of baby gear every Friday through its “Feel Good Friday Giveaways.” All you have to do is nominate someone who has inspired you or stepped up during this crisis (i. e., someone you believe has been a “hero” in their daily actions).

To nominate an everyday hero and give them a chance to win $1,000 worth of Chicco products, simply post their story on social media and tag @chicco.usa and use #ChiccoCares in your post. You’ll also need to make sure your Twitter or Instagram is public so Chicco can see the post.

You can also send your story to UGChelp.usa@artsana.com with the subject line #ChiccoCares. Chicco sells everything from car seats to strollers, high chairs, accessories and more, so your “hero” will have plenty to choose from should they win the $1,000.

Chicco will review submissions on a rolling basis and will be announcing new winners every Friday. There is currently no end date for this contest, which means it could end at any time. So, if you have someone you’d like to nominate, be sure you do so soon. You can nominate as many people as you want.

Chicco has already selected five winners. These include a clinical social worker who works at a psychiatric prison hospital, a critical care nurse, an elementary school employee and the latest winner, a truck driver who was nominated by his wife.

Chicco will be sharing the stories of the winners on their Instagram pageevery Friday, so you can visit their Instagram now to see previous winners.

The post below announces two winners in one week: critical care nurse Katie T., who recently became a widow just one year after her daughter was born, and Skye M., an ex-Army pilot who became a registered nurse and now tends COVID-19 patients.

#FeelGoodFriday | We have seen some incredible stories over the last week from our #ChiccoCares program. This week, we had two that were so deserving, we chose them both! Read their inspiring stories below! Katie T., nominated by Jennifer. Katie became a widow in October 2018 a few days before their baby girl and only child turned 1. She is a critical care Registered Nurse working at a hospital in Sedalia, MO. Katie has been through so much with the sudden death of her high school sweetheart, who was active duty in the Air Force. She dealt with this while working full time as an RN and trying to juggle being a new mom to their daughter. She has done a remarkable job continuing to provide for their daughter, while selflessly serving the community, especially at this time. Katie's daughter would greatly benefit from all the amazing products Chicco provides to keep her entertained, safe, and comfortable, at the same time her mom is serving those in the community who are in need. — Skye M. from Dothan, AL, nominated by Mary. My husband is my hero. He fought for our nation and retired from the Army as a Black Hawk pilot and wanted to continue serving our country in dangerous federal law enforcement jobs. I told him he's placed his life on the line for others enough, and that it was time to stay home and help raise our two children who were 2-years old and 2-days old at the time of his retirement. He decided to go back to school and become an RN, and went to work in the ER immediately after graduation. He literally saved my life in the hours after our third child was born using his medical training. Now, he volunteered to be the nurse that stands outside the ER to scan every patient who comes in for COVID-19. He rotates between screening and tending to patients on the special COVID hall in the ER. He's placing his life on the line to preserve the lives of others again. This time it's not missiles and bullets that threaten his life but a hidden enemy. We never thought being an RN would be dangerous! He's thrilled to be serving, helping, and protecting others. THANK YOU both for helping out in this time of need!
