GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Students will be able to explore careers for 60 minutes on the first Virtual Groundhog Shadow Day Kent ISD reports.
On Feb. 5, 2021 students 9-12th grade are invited to explore various careers through Zoom. The virtual fair is organized into three sessions 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“The opportunities for students on Groundhog Shadow Day are tremendous,” explained Ron Koehler, interim Kent ISD superintendent. “The chance to explore a potential career field, see and hear what the work is like and observe people actively engaged in it can make a real difference for students. This experience might well launch them on their career path. We are grateful to all of the employers connecting their workplaces to students.”
Students are encouraged to sign up now through January 24 by visiting their website.
