WYOMING, Mich. — Joseff Vanhorn says the pandemic turned his businesses “upside down.”

With two small eateries that depend on filling their tables, both Tomato Pie and YoChef’s Café must rely now on takeout.

Fortunately, pizza is a regular takeout item, and the wood-fired pizza at Tomato Pie “travels really well,” Vanhorn says. "Our best sellers are the aged prosciutto. And thhe Balkan, and the Four Cheese pizza. Those are really awesome.”

But Vanhorn and his crew also serve up subs and sandwiches plus deli meats and cheeses by the pound. But they have also made items available that are not listed on the online menu. Their cannoli, which are made on Thursday and then sold Friday through Sunday, regularly sell out. Plus anyone can call and order a lasagna or baked ziti to take home and pop in the oven.

At YoChef’s Café, "we do breakfast and lunch there. And we come over (to Tomato Pie) and we do dinner,” Vanhorn says. The café provides takeout from their menu as well

As for YoChef’s Catering, they can do “backyard barbecues to black tie galas.”

All three are Open In West Michigan.
