FOREST HILLS, Mich. — A student at Forest Hills Central High School has tested positive for coronavirus, the school announced Monday.

The student began experiencing symptoms on Sept. 9 and was last on campus on Sept. 8, according to a news release.

The Kent County Health Department will reach out to anyone it identifies as a close contact.

This case was not included in today’s outbreak report from the state.

Another case was reported at Forest Hills Central High School last week.

It’s unclear how many total cases the school has.

Officials say they will continue implementing safety protocols and disinfecting the school building, classrooms, buses and high-touch surface areas.
