Wyoming High School suspends football until Oct. 19

WYOMING, Mich. — Wyoming High School has suspended the current football season until Oct. 19.

“Making a decision in the best interest of our students and staff was our primary focus,” Superintendent Craig Hoekstra said.

“Given the number of individuals impacted, it became necessary for us to suspend both varsity and junior varsity football, practices and games, for the next two weeks.”

As a result, the following games have been canceled:

  • Oct. 8 vs. Mona Shores (junior varsity)
  • Oct. 9 vs. Mona Shores (varsity)
  • Oct. 15 vs. Reeths-Puffer (junior varsity)
  • Oct. 16 vs. Reeths-Puffer (varsity)
