WYOMING, Mich. — Wyoming Junior High will return to in-person learning next week after going all-virtual because of a positive COVID-19 test, the district announced Thursday.
In-person learning resumes Oct. 26.
Closing the building gave the Kent County Health Department time to complete contact tracing and the school time to thoroughly clean and disinfect while students and staff weren’t present.
The district urges all Wyoming Public Schools staff and students experiencing symptoms or who may have been exposed to the coronavirus to get tested and self-quarantine.
Officials also urge following all public health guidelines to avoid further spread of the virus.
