The Red Wolves are still licking their paw a but from their pre-district loss to Niles. Head Coac Dennis Strey said that they thought the team would take a week off after the loss, but that next Monday they were in the weight room, ready to work. He hopes that loss will fuel a fire for the 2024 season. The players feel the same way.

"It would mean the world to me honestly. I was a water boy for my brothers team when they won a district title a few years ago and I've always wanted to bring one of those to Paw Paw," said senior lineman, Darrin Strey.

The 2023 season's 9-2 was much improved from the past two years when they rarely reached the .500 mark. They hope that their experience will be a crucial factor in another winning season and hopefully, that district championship.

"Everyone knows their plays, everyone knows their responsibilies. It's not like mistakes are made very often, especially with this team, and that's a great thing to see," said senior Bryson Newell.

Paw Paw will start their season on Thursday, August 29th at 7pm on the road against Big Rapids.
