(WXMI) — Rockford bounces back with an OK Red win over Caledonia in our Blitz Game of the Week 34-14.
The Rams got on the board first, Isaac Poot spun past defenders for a 90-yard touchdown. Caledonia got to the red zone on its first three possessions but came up with no points. Luke Ahern returned a blocked field goal and set up the Rams with great field position. Poot scored his second touchdown of the night as Rockford got up 13-0.
The Scots forced three turnovers in the first half. The third one sparked Cal's offense. A few plays later Brody Betser found Lincoln Senti for the 12-yard touchdown. Rockford was on top at half 13-7.
In the second half, Poot scored his third touchdown of the game as the Rams extended their lead. Then the Rams special teams made another big play, Wyatt Colson blocked a punt and the Rams fell on it for a touchdown.
Rockford rolled from there. The Rams win it 34-14.
