CALEDONIA, Mich. — Undefeated Caledonia hosted undefeated Rockford Friday night as both the Scots and the Rams looked to take the OK Red title.

Rockford 38, Caledonia 15

Rockford scored the first 31 points en route to a 38-15 win over Caledonia in a battle of undefeated OK Red teams.

The Rams clinch the OK Red title outright and a perfect regular season. It is the fourth straight season that Rockford has won the conference title.

"It means a lot especially with all the seniors and it being the fourth OK Red championship in a row, junior running back and linebacker Ryan Ahern said. "It means a lot to see the seniors get it all four years here."

The Ram led 10-0 at halftime and their only touchdown came on a 45-yard punt return from sophomore Isaac Poot.

"Our offense was struggling but my coaches and my teammates put me in the right spot," Poot said. "They gave me the blocks and yeah, I scored a touchdown."

The Rockford defense was great all night keeping the Fighting Scots off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter when they had a 31-0 lead.

"On the defense it took a ton of effort to focus on the one-eleventh and come out here and stop a team that is very explosive," 3rd year Rockford head coach Brent Cummings said. "That was a key point for us is to stop big plays and so proud of those kids of buying into that philosophy and doing their job play after play."

Rams senior quarterback Mac VandenHout led the way with 129 yards rushing on 19 carries and two touchdowns.

Ahern ran for 93 yards and a score on 15 carries.
